My thanks to http://graypoet.wordpress.com/author/graypoet/ for nominating me for this award. He has amazing insight and talent and I hope you will check out his blog and enjoy it as I have. I like to think of him as a wise old soul.
The rules are that I must write an acceptance speech and nominate other bloggers. The nominations are easy with so many great writers around, harder for me as I am new to the blogging world and have just recently begun following others. What I have found, however, is a treasure trove of wonderful writers and thinkers. I hope that my nominations will be a reflection of the diverse talent that exists out there in the wide, wacky world. I am quite impressed with the insights and deep experiences of some young bloggers (that is, those that are under 40!). I hope that you explore their sites and find their writing as thought provoking as I do. The acceptance speech will be more challenging to write than most of my postings! I am so honored to find that many have followed my blog since I started posting poetry in April. I have never written much of it in my life and I am genuinely surprised to have had the response- since, like GRAY POET- I let most of the words flow out of memories or emotions. I’ve had the pleasure of prompts from poet Kellie Elmore (http://kellieelmore.com/ that give me the chance to dig deep and be challenged. Please keep the comments coming!
I would like to pass this award on to some other writers that I hope you will find even more enjoyable, in no particular order:
